Kentucky-bound recruit Kyle Wiltjer will play in the Nike Hoop Summit on April 9, USA Basketball announced Monday.
Wiltjer will play for the World team because his father, Greg, is a native of Canada, which allowed Kyle to apply for dual citizenship. Kyle was born in Portland, Ore.
The game will be played in the Rose Garden in Portland. Of course, that’s the game in which would-be Kentucky player Enes Kanter starred for the World team last spring.
Three other UK recruits will play for the U.S. team in the Nike Hoop Summit. Anthony Davis, Michael Gilchrist and Marquis Teague will play for the U.S. team.
